Announcing the Good News
The Purpose Statement for Westminster is, “To please God as we worship Him, make disciples of Jesus Christ locally and worldwide, equip believers for ministry in the church and the world, and practice biblical relationships as a congregation.” We desire the world to know their creator, redeemer and friend, Jesus Christ. We participate in several local outreaches and support missionaries around the world.
COMMUNITY OUTREACHES of WPC
Augusta Care Pregnancy Center
Several WPC members volunteer at the center through counseling women or helping administratively. Others participate in the annual Walk for Life fundraiser. The church also sponsors tables at CPC’s annual fundraiser.
Other pro-life/whole-life advocacy includes foster care and adoption by WPC families. We also participate in adoption fundraisers for families in our church who wish to adopt children.
Your Questions, God’s Answers
It is a family meal with a conversation about the faith. We want to answer the questions that you may have about the Christian Faith or Life but never had the opportunity to ask. So, bring your questions! Meets monthly on the second and fourth Wednesday at 6:00pm in the Fellowship Hall.
Meal-Train Ministry
This is organized for new moms, the elderly and those who are sick.
Blessing Closet
A closet with essential needs (clothes, baby items, books, school supplies, shoes, coats, and more) is available to the community the first Wednesday every month 1:30-3:30pm
Home and Hospital Visits
Various people in the congregation take it upon themselves to visit and minister to those who are shut-in or hospitalized to help them feel supported and not forgotten.
Classical Homeschool Co-ops
Classical Conversations and Veritas homeschool groups use WPC’s facilities during the school year on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Fun fact: Veritas has been meeting at WPC for over 25 years!
English Conversation Classes
Hosted on the first and third Monday evening at 6:00pm in the Fellowship Hall.
